Day Treatment Qualified Professional

Job Description: 

Meridian is seeking a QP for Day Treatment in Jackson County.   Day Treatment includes a structured program that builds on strengths and addresses the identified problems associated with the complex conditions of each individual. Day Treatment provides mental health and/or substance abuse interventions in the context of a therapeutic treatment milieu. This service is focused on providing clinical interventions and service to support the child in achieving functional gains that support the child's integration in educational or vocational settings, is developmentally appropriate, is culturally relevant and sensitive, and is child and family centered. Day Treatment follows a cognitive-behavioral therapeutic and behavioral therapy model.   The Day Treatment qualified professional duties in summary, provides development and implementation of the client's person centered plan, monitor progress of client and the family, and case management duties within a Systems of Care model. They must be present in the Day Treatment program to provide supervision of skill builders, oversee program management of client's needs, and provide crisis intervention when necessary.

To qualify applicants must have:

  • a Bachelor's degree in Human Services with two years of full-time experience with this population (or four years of experience if degree is not in human services),
  • a valid driver's license with no restrictions,
  • reliable transportation,
  • flexibility and moderate computer skills.
