Certified Medical Assistant

Job Description: 

Meridian is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to work at our office in Haywood County. The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) works as part of the medical office team performing clinical and clerical duties to meet the goal of providing primary and mental health care. Duties include preparing patients for provider visit, gathering information, assisting providers with procedures, answering the phone, making appointments, registering patients, performing laboratory procedures, distributing and/or administering medications, giving injections and assisting the providers.  This position requires someone who is a quick learner and a self-starter who can multi-task in a fast-paced environment. 

The ideal candidate MUST:

  • be a graduate of an accredited Certified Medical Assistant program,
  • have CMA certification from AAMA or AMT,
  • have a minimum of two years of related experience, preferably in an outpatient mental health setting,
  • have a valid driver's license w/reliable transportation, and
  • be flexible with moderate computer skills.
