Program Assistant for ACTT (Assertive Community Treatment Team)

Job Description: 

Meridian Behavioral Health Services is seeking a Program Assistant for ACTT.  The Program Assistant is the primary contact for the team and is responsible for coordinating calls and directing communication between team and clients, as well as communicating with other local organizations. The Program Assistant is supervised by the ACT Team Lead.  This position will require the ability to utilize crisis prevention/intervention skills.

The Program Assistant:

  • completes office management duties,
  • is responsible for assisting with the scheduling process for the team,
  • is responsible for maintaining sufficient office production, and maintaining medical charts and records,
  • is responsible for managing confidential information,  
  • prepares monthly reports including: Billing, Service Authorizations, and Program Statistics,
  • assists ACTT MD with nursing administrative duties including: medication and lab coordination, scheduling appointments, and hospitalization coordination,
  • assists ACTT Team Lead with clinical administrative duties including: referral coordination and support with coordination of treatment plans.

This position plays a key role in the day-to-day functioning of the ACT Team, therefore, applicants must:

  • have advanced computer and typing skills,
  • have a good oral presentation for front desk duties and phone etiquette,
  • be able to follow written and verbal directions, to record basic data, and report observations to supervisor,
  • have a High School Diploma or GED, and
  • have a valid driver's license with no restrictions.
