Clinician- Outpatient & Day Treatment Services

Job Description: 

Meridian Behavioral Health Services is currently seeking a licensed/associate licensed therapist for an exciting opportunity to join our Child and Family Services team in Transylvania County. This position will be a 50/50 split between Outpatient and Day Treatment services.  In the outpatient role, the clinician will be serving youth and their families through individual and group therapy, working primarily out of local schools.  

In the Day Treatment role, the Therapist/Clinical Manager will assure the program is operated according to service definition policies and procedures, will provide clinical supervision to all direct care staff as well as provide clinical oversight of the program.  The Therapist/Clinical Manager assures appropriate evidenced based models are implemented into treatment and provides ongoing therapy to clients and their families.  Day Treatment is a structured program in a school setting that builds on strengths and addresses the identified problems associated with the complex conditions of each individual.  Day Treatment provides mental health and/or substance abuse interventions in the context of a treatment milieu.  This service should be focused on achieving functional gains and developing appropriate behavior.  It should be culturally relevant and sensitive, child and family centered and focus on reintegrating the individual back into a mainstream school setting.  

Applicant must have:

  • a valid driver’s license with no restrictions,
  • reliable transportation,
  • flexibility, and
  • moderate computer skills.  
  • A Master's degree and mental health license or license eligibility are also required.
