Accounts Receivable Tech

Job Description: 

Meridian Behavioral Health Services is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Tech to join the Billing team in Waynesville.

  • Job duties of the Accounts Receivable Tech include:  insurance verification, prior authorization for services, claim submission, claim follow – up, payment posting, sending client statements, communicating patient responsibility and collections process to clients,  and internal claim audits.
  • The ideal candidate for the Accounts Receivable Tech position must be detail oriented, highly organized, have strong written and verbal communication skills, be comfortable with first party collections, insurance verification and the claims adjudication process.
  • Education and experience requirements for the Accounts Receivable Tech are completion of a high school diploma, 3-5 years commercial insurance billing experience and experience with a billing clearinghouse is required.  CPC (Certified Professional Coder) preferred.
